From Tired and Damaged to Sleek and Contemporary

At Luxe Kitchen Wraps, we're often called in when kitchens are past their prime, but don't need a full refit. This Hampshire kitchen was a prime example: peeling laminate doors, dated handles, and water-damaged worktops had left the space looking neglected.

In just three days, we brought it back to life with new textures, modern detailing, and a completely refreshed layout.

Before: Failing Finishes and Outdated Functionality

When we first visited, the kitchen had:

  • Doors with peeling plastic laminate coatings

  • Dated handles and damaged surface panels

  • A severely water-damaged worktop

  • A dishwasher inconveniently housed in the utility room

Despite its condition, the layout had potential – and the cabinetry itself was structurally sound.

After: Clean Lines, Textured Surfaces, and Improved Flow

The transformation focused on both aesthetic renewal and functional improvement, making this kitchen feel like a brand-new installation without the cost or disruption of one.

Key upgrades:

  • Laminate removal & surface prep: We stripped back the damaged coatings and prepared each door by filling old handle holes and priming them for wrapping.

  • Fresh wrap finish: Doors were vinyl wrapped in Coverstyl NH33 White Cement – a soft, textural white finish that instantly modernised the space.

  • New worktop solution: The damaged worktops were replaced and wrapped in Coverstyl U10, a darker textured finish providing rich contrast and a premium look.

  • Matching splashbacks: We also wrapped the new splashbacks in U10, extending the texture vertically for a cohesive, ultra-stylish result.

  • Layout improvement: The dishwasher was relocated closer to the sink by removing a base unit, greatly improving the kitchen’s usability.

  • Modern handle update: We fitted new matte black finger pull handles for a discreet, clean finish – subtle but highly effective.

Design Notes: Minimalist Texture, Maximum Impact

This kitchen relied heavily on texture and tone to bring it into the modern era. The pairing of NH33 and U10 creates a refined palette that feels clean, structured, and contemporary. Matte black detailing adds a minimalist edge, avoiding visual clutter while enhancing contrast.

We’re especially proud of the worktop and splashback combination, which gives a true stone-look effect – without the cost, weight or disruption of solid surfaces.
