At Luxe Kitchen Wraps, we love how a carefully chosen vinyl wrap can completely redefine a kitchen's atmosphere. This recent transformation in Hampshire showcases how bold contrasts and texture-rich finishes can elevate even the most minimal spaces, without the need for a full refit.
Before: Clean, Bright and Plain
The original kitchen featured glossy white units, white worktops, and white plinths – bright and open, but lacking personality. While the layout was functional, the overall design felt a little flat and sterile.
After: Rich Tones and Sophisticated Contrast
This transformation focused on injecting depth and modern character into the space, without changing its layout or cabinetry.
Key design elements:
Main wrap finish: We wrapped all doors, panels, plinths and trims in Coverstyl RM29 – a rich anthracite grey with a grain texture and a subtle blue undertone, adding immediate depth and modern edge.
Accent contrast: Using Coverstyl NF83, a complementary warm-toned finish, we wrapped the J-pull handles and select island panels. This gave the kitchen a layered look and introduced visual warmth and definition.
Cohesive detailing: The contrast between the dark body and the handle inlays enhances the handle-less design while making the texture a standout feature.
Lighting and styling: The rich colours respond beautifully to natural and artificial light, giving the space a fresh dynamic at different times of day.
Design Notes: Layering Texture and Tone
The key to this transformation was in the strategic use of contrast. By pairing the cool anthracite tone of RM29 with the earthy warmth of NF83, we created a layered, bespoke finish that feels intentional and high-end.
This project highlights the importance of surface detail, particularly in modern kitchens where flat-panel doors can benefit from added dimension through wrap contrasts.
