At Luxe Kitchen Wraps, some of our favourite projects are those where we can completely rethink the design and functionality of an existing kitchen. This Hampshire kitchen had plenty of potential, but previous DIY alterations and an uninspiring colour scheme meant it wasn't making the most of the space.
By improving the layout, creating symmetry, and introducing a stunning terracotta colour palette, we transformed this kitchen into a warm, contemporary space full of character and personality.

When we first visited this kitchen, it was clear that previous DIY modifications had created several design challenges.
The kitchen suffered from:
Uneven cabinet heights and poorly aligned units
Mismatched panel sizes and inconsistent spacing

The transformation focused on improving both the aesthetics and the proportions of the kitchen.
Key upgrades included:
Removing the top row of wall units to create a cleaner and more uniform appearance
Lowering and repositioning cabinets to improve alignment throughout the kitchen
Creating symmetry around the fridge by relocating units and fitting new matching doors
Filling and smoothing existing handle holes ready for a completely new hardware design
Installing elegant brushed gold finger pull handles for a contemporary finish
Wrapping the cabinetry in a stunning terracotta burnt orange finish
Enhancing the natural warmth of the existing white stone worktops and cedar island through carefully selected colour pairing
The result is a kitchen that feels intentionally designed, balanced, and full of personality.

One of the biggest successes of this project was the way colour and layout worked together to transform the space.
The rich terracotta finish introduces warmth and depth, while the brushed gold handles add a touch of luxury without overpowering the design. By creating symmetry around the fridge and simplifying the wall cabinetry, the kitchen now feels significantly more spacious and cohesive.
The contrast between the warm cabinetry, crisp white stone worktops and natural cedar island creates a designer-inspired look that feels both modern and welcoming.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design changes can have just as much impact as a complete kitchen replacement.
